As someone who has worked in marketing for over 10 years all over the united states I can say that each business and brand have a unique set of advertising goals. Your commercial photography objective may vary depending on the size of your business budget, growth projections and goals and most importantly your demographic.
The pictures you post define your brand now more than ever. You can make a website with images and text. It’s easy. Your social media presence is dictated by your images. The text can be simple, all you need to do is be yourself and tell your story. But, ultimately your images will tell people how to view your business.

I often get asked how to spend money on a campaign and I recommend a couple of things. First off, understand how to operate your online advertising campaigns within facebook ads and google adwords. Second, use good photos. You can obviously go deeper, but if you are looking for the basics of getting your small business going those are the cornerstones.

Over the past fifteen years I’ve photographed everyone from local startups to internationally recognized brands, but I’ve also had the opportunity to work with some of Oklahoma’s most recognizable people and businesses. Assignments have ranged from photographing the University of Oklahoma Women’s Basketball program and its coaching staff to creating imagery for Bob Stoops’ tequila brand, giving me experience producing work that feels equally at home on a billboard, a magazine cover, or a social media campaign.
Food and hospitality have become another major focus. I’ve photographed more than 50 restaurants across Oklahoma and Texas, from neighborhood favorites to nationally recognized chefs and restaurants. Every restaurant has its own personality, lighting challenges, and story to tell, and that experience has taught me how to create photographs that don’t just look good—they make people want to walk through the door.
Those projects also become powerful SEO assets. Instead of simply saying I photograph restaurants or commercial brands, I can build detailed case studies around real work: how we photographed a restaurant opening, documented a university athletic program, or created marketing imagery for a nationally known Oklahoma brand. Those pages answer the exact questions potential clients are searching for, while demonstrating the depth of experience behind the camera. Over time, they help establish topical authority not only as a photographer in Norman, but as a visual storyteller for Oklahoma businesses, restaurants, universities, conferences, and brands.
